Become an Immigration Court Observer
Participate in the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Commission on Immigration’s Immigration Court Observation & Awareness Project. This includes a self-paced course that is designed to prepare you with the knowledge and tools you’ll need to observe immigration court proceedings effectively.
Through videos, written guidance, and practical checklists, you’ll learn:
1. How the immigration court system works
2. When and where to observe hearings
3. How to accurately complete the court observation form so the Commission can collect reliable data
By joining the court observation project, volunteers play a vital role in helping the Commission track court trends, identify systemic issues, and strengthen advocacy for access to counsel and due process protections.

Support a Free Citizenship Clinic
The Association for Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Utah Chapter, along with other local organizations, is hosting a one-day citizenship event for people from anywhere in Utah. A team of attorneys will review the applications before filing; all they will need to do is mail and include the filing fee (if required). If there are any volunteers familiar with the N-400, who would like to be involved, they can email pitt@contigo.law to get involved.
